Support a Design & Build project

Design & Build is a core part of our training programme, where the entire student cohort undertakes a collaborative engineering project co-created by an industry partner, aligned to your strategic goals.

Supporting a Design & Build allows you to access innovative student ideas, gain recognition for sustainability, explore solutions in a low-risk environment, and build valuable academic and industry connections.

We provide a significant budget, academic and technical expertise and access to specialist facilities for the student cohort to deliver your working prototype.

Cadent, the UK’s largest gas network, proposed our first Design & Build project to tackle the challenge of embrittlement, a key barrier to transitioning the gas grid to hydrogen.
