EnerHy CDT researcher Jiaqi Wang has been selected to present a poster at the ASTM International Conference on Advanced Manufacturing (ICAM 2026), taking place in Orlando, Florida, from 28 September to 2 October 2026.
ICAM is ASTM International’s flagship advanced manufacturing conference, bringing together researchers, industry leaders, government agencies and standards specialists to explore how emerging manufacturing technologies can progress from early research to qualification and industrial deployment.
Jiaqi’s poster, ‘Additive manufacturing of complex electrolyte structures for protonic ceramic fuel cells’, will present his work on advanced processing techniques for next-generation fuel cell technologies.
A member of EnerHy Cohort 2 and a First Class Materials Science graduate from Loughborough University, Jiaqi’s research focuses on the processing of proton-conducting solid oxide electrolytes for fuel cell applications. Jiaqi is exploring how different manufacturing techniques affect the properties and performance of these materials, with the aim of improving their structural integrity and long-term durability.

The conference acceptance comes less than a month after Jiaqi presented his research at the EnerHy Research Conference and joined fellow Cohort 2 researchers for the EnerHy Design and Build Challenge. Supported by East Midlands Freeport, the challenge brought together multidisciplinary teams to develop and demonstrate a solar farm measurement system and a thermally integrated photovoltaic-electrolyser.
Congratulations to Jiaqi on his selection, and we wish him every success in Orlando.
