Cohort 1 researchers Steffi Shaji and Jubil Thomas have been selected to present their research as part of the UK Energy Innovation Expo at Vaillant Live, Derby on 16 June.
Hosted by the Energy Research Accelerator, the largest UK research network dedicated to solving and accelerating energy solutions, the UK Energy Innovation Expo will bring together leading experts, researchers, and innovators to explore the future of energy.
Steffi and Jubil are among just a handful of PhD researchers chosen from across eight research intensive Midlands universities to give lightening presentations (3 minutes, 3 slides) about their research on the main stage of the conference.
Steffi, a Loughborough University chemistry researcher sponsored by EffecTech aims to develop better methods and materials for measuring impurities in renewable technologies, ensuring stricter standards for hydrogen fuel cells and carbon capture.
Jubil, a Cranfield University chemical engineering researcher sponsored by EDF aims to develop a robust and novel electrocatalyst for proton conducting solid oxide electrolysers, which is selective to producing sustainable aviation fuel.
Many congratulations to Steffi and Jubil – and thank you to the Energy Research Accelerator for this excellent engagement platform.
